Working for Associated Content

So I signed up with a company, Associated Content, just over 2 years ago. I love to write and they pay you to do so. I began by publishing a couple of poems. Unfortunately you only get paid for every 1000 page views, and people really do not look up poetry. I began to publish papers that I have written and this worked out well. You can get paid upfront for some work if it is approved, then you also make money when people read it.

This has been a great investment. Unfortunately I have only recently updated my profile and published more work. It is great making money on the side. I am not making a lot of money yet, but I have been able to purchase myself an item, a Mother’s Day gift, a birthday present for my daughter, and a few other items via paypal with my money earned.

If you like to write and want to earn a little extra cash, check out the site. Here is a link to my site: http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/64141/lisa_babers.html

Playdates

There was a time, up until just this last year, that I saw my dad very infrequently. My dad only lives 30 minutes from me and yet his schedule as well and mine always seemed to conflict. Now he is officially retired and unfortunately his wife is ill. While his wife is at dialysis he is left alone waiting for 4 hours.

I decided that since I had been working so little, I would help him to pass the time. What fun have I had! We do absolutely nothing sometimes (walking around Costco for 2 1/2 hours) and other times we go out to eat, or we shop Victoria Gardens and manage to only spend .82 cents. This is funny.

No matter what we do, I am LOVING my quality time with  my dad. He and I have bonded recently and I am so thankful and appreciative to have this time with him. It is sad on the other hand, life is always working like a double edge sword. I get quality time because his wife is ill, but I have become closer with her as well. So now I have adventures to write about, and possible reviews.

This is basically a note to express how happy I am to not sleep in on a Saturday because I know that I get to spend 4 hours with my dad.

Love You Dad!
